We offer several beginner-focused options: the Sewing Basics 3-Week Course (9 hours of hands-on instruction with no experience needed), the Beginner & Beyond Learn to Sew Course (5 or 10 weeks of weekly classes), and private lessons ($199 for 3 hours of tailored instruction). All beginner courses teach essential techniques including machine threading, basic stitches, pattern reading, and fabric fundamentals.

No. Most of our classes provide sewing machines and all necessary tools. For example, private lessons include access to fabric shears, thread snips, hand needles, tape measures, pins, tailor's chalks, and pressing tools. For the Knitting Machine Basics workshop, machines and yarn supplies are included. If you own an overlocker and prefer to use it, you may bring your own to the Overlocker Confidence Workshop, though we provide machines for those who don't have one.

After completing Sewing Basics, our progression includes: Cushion Workshop with invisible zips (3 hours), PJ pants with pockets and elastic waist (6 hours), Simple Shift Dress with French darts and invisible zip (7.5 hours), and Basic Leggings (3 hours). These projects are designed as low-pressure introductions to garment construction, each building specific techniques like overlocking seams and zip insertion.

We offer targeted workshops for specific techniques: Master Stretch (6 hours on knit fabrics and stretch stitches), Zips & Buttonholes Masterclass (full-day workshop covering lapped zips, invisible zips, and buttonhole application), Serge Ahead Overlocker Confidence (2.5 hours on threading and troubleshooting), and Cushion Workshop focusing on invisible zips and overlocking. We also teach pattern-making (Copy It! 4-hour workshop and Copy a Garment 12-hour course).

FreeStyle Sessions are fortnightly, self-directed sewing sessions limited to 6 participants maximum. You bring your own project—whether it's a work-in-progress, a pattern you've been wanting to try, or an unfinished garment. The studio provides sewing machines, overlockers, steam generator irons, cutting tools, and a teacher available to assist when needed. Sessions are designed for confident beginners and above who can work independently on their own projects.
